Heute schreibe ich mal ein wenig zu unserem ersten Ziel des Urlaubs. Wir sind ja in Caracas angekommen und von Jana direkt am Flughafen abgeholt worden.

Today, i start with describing the beginning of our vacation. we arrived in Caracas and Jana was waiting for us at the airport.

wir sind dann per Bus in die Stadt gefahren und haben direkt die Bedeutung des Wortes Regenzeit kennengelernt. Jana war noch direkt im Alltagsstress und nicht wirklich im Urlaubsfeeling… Also ordentlich viel organisieren und zügiges Programm in Caracas, denn wir sind direkt Abends mit dem Nachtbus nach Coro gefahren. Leider sind wir schon Morgens um 4 Uhr angekommen, hatten aber Glück eine Posada zu finden…

we got by bus to the city and got directly an impression of the ‘rain season’. Jana was still in an everyday kind of mood and not really realizing the start of the holidays… So we went from one place to another to get all stuff done and went direktly in the evening to Coro. Unfortunately we arrived early at 4 in the morning there but we where lucky to get a nice Posada …

Wir hatten herrliches Wetter den ganzen Tag und sind als erstes durch die Altstadt geschlendert. Nach dem Mittagessen haben wir beschlossen in den ‘Los Medanos’ Nationalpark zu fahren. Wir haben einen guten Deal mit dem Taxifahrer ausgehandelt der stolz einen alten Ami-Schlitten Baujahr ‘78 gesteuert hat …

Alle the day we had such great weather, so we first of all we walked through the old parts of the town. After our lunch we decided to get to the ‘Los Medanos’ national park. We got a good deal with the taxi driver which was proudly driving an old US car from ‘78…

Danach haben wir zufällig erfahren das der ‘Playa’ nicht weit entfernt ist, also sind wir spontan zum Strand gefahren um ne Runde zu baden. Sehr geil: Direkt am ersten Tag im Karibikmeer gebadet!
Zum Abschluss gings nochmal in die Posada duschen und dann gegenüber der Busbahnhofs dann in einem Strassenrestaurant ‘Pollo’ (Hähnchen) essen!

Afterwards our taxi driver told us that the playa is not far away so we went spontanously there for a refreshment! So good: getting on the first day to the beach! Just before going to the bus station we had a shower in the posada. For dinner we had pollo (chicken) in an street restaurant!

Denn Abends ging es direkt weiter nach Merida… dazu beim nächsten Mal mehr!
