die You Jin und ich | that’s You Jin and me

Am Samstag haben wir uns mit der Bahn auf die Reise nach Münster gemacht und dort den Geburtstag von You Jin (& Anne & Tine) nachgefeiert. Es gab lecker Bier, Maracuja-Vodka-Kurze und ne Menge gute Laune!

On saturday we made a trip to You Jins (& Anne & Tine’s) birthday party with the train in Münster. There we got yummy beer, Maracuja-Vodka shots and a lot of fun!

Wir haben uns dann kurz vor 4 auf den Rückweg gemacht um den Zug um 4:37 zu erreichen. Wir (Oli und ich) waren auch pünktlich am Bahnhof, haben uns Tickets gekauft und uns zum Bahnsteig begeben. Die Anzeige gab uns zu verstehen 45 Minuten länger warten zu müssen. Nunja, Sturm-Chaos in NRW.. es war zu verstehen. Also habe wir uns in einen Windschutz gesetzt und vor uns hin gedöst. Dann habe ich nach ca 40 min auf der Anzeige nachgeschaut … keine Anzeige. Kurz Gewundert und noch 15 min gewartet. Dann habe ich an der (kostenlosen) Hotline erfahren das der Zug schon durch ist und auf dem Weg Richtung Bremen ist! Na Super! Die gute von der Hotline erzählte mir dann das der nächste Zug in ca. 20 Minuten (5:57 Uhr) kommen sollte. Doch seht selbst:

Shortly before 4 we started to walk to the trainstation to get the train at 4:37. We (Oli and me) arrived there in time, paid for the ticket and went to the tracks. The display was saying that we had to wait 45 minutes more for the train. Ok, storm chaos in NRW.. so it was reasonable. So we waited there near the tracks dozing in a wind protection thingy. Then i had a look at the display after approx. 40 minutes … and it was displaying nothing at all. After 10 more minutes i called the (free) hotline which told me that our train was already though Münster and on its way to Bremen. Oh great! The girl from the hotline told me then that the next train should arrive in 20 minutes. But have a look for yourselve:

Ich war dann um 7:50 zu Hause. Aber es war eine großartige Party!!

Nach unserem super Road-Trip haben wir uns etwas entspannt… nach gemütlichem Ausschlafen ging es mit Harry in Richtung ‘Big Mall’. Das war dann mein erstes Mal in einem amerikanischen Einkaufszentrum! Eine feine Sache an US of A ist ja das man Markenklamotten recht günstig in Outlet Stores oder auch in normalen Läden kaufen kann. Also haben wir einen auf “shop til you drop” gemacht… hier meine Ausbeute (vom gesamten USA Aufenthalt):

After our great road trip we did some relaxing activity… after sleeping quite long we drove with Harry to the big mall. That was my first time in an american mall. Really nice thing is that you can buy actually quite cheap some brand clothes in outlet and normal stores. So we did some ‘shop til you drop’ there… here what i got (during my whole stay in US of A):

Ausserdem haben wir im “Food Court” gegessen. Also das hat mir wohl gefallen… so’n coolen Timberland Store hatten die da auch …. hummm!
Abends sind wir dann zum Sagen umwobenen “Los Gatos” gefahren… ich hatte schon einige Stories gehört und mich schon ziemlich drauf gefreut. Leider wurden wir Enttäuscht denn es war so gut wie nichts los. Immerhin habe ich zum Schluss vom Barkeeper einen Drink ausgegeben bekommen, vielleicht weil ich gutes Trinkgeld gegeben habe?! keine Ahnung.

Furthermore we ate in the food court. I liked it there.. there was also a nice Timberland store… hummm!
In the evening we drove to the legendary “Los Gatos”. I had heard already some spectacular stories and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately we were disappointed because almost nothing was going on. At least i got a free drink in the end of the evening from the barkeeper, maybe i gave good tip?! no idea.

So, ich bin jetzt ein paar Tage wieder zurück von diesem wundervollem Trip! Es hat mir sehr viel Spass gemacht, ich habe Valencia genossen und möchte an dieser Stelle nochmal Javi danken für die ‘Betreuung’ vor Ort und Jordi für die Organisation im Vorfeld!
Tja was kann ich berichten… Ich bin ca. zu selben Zeit wie Björn und Baba in VLC angekommen, wo wir direkt von Javi empfangen wurden. Nach etwas gequatsche was jeder so gemacht hat und Informieren bei der Touri Info haben wir dann nach ca. 3 Stunden Daniele empfangen. Zusammen ging es dann als erstes zum Hostel um einzuchecken! Wir sind dann als erstes ein wenig die Gärten von Valencia gelaufen… Dann haben wir uns von dem anstrengenden Anreisen ausgeruht und auf Patri und Viktor gewartet. Dann erstmal zum Mercadonna um Dinner und Frühstück einzukaufen. Vom Einkaufen zurück haben Javi und ich, Katja, Antje und José von der Metro Station abgeholt. Wir waren schon etwas nervös uns nach so langer Zeit wieder zu sehen …

ok, now i’m back from this wonderful trip for some days! I had a lot of fun, i enjoyed Valencia and would like to say thanks to Javi for his ‘work’ there and to Jordi for the organization before!
Ok, what can i say… i came to VLC approximately the same time as Björn and Baba where Javi was waiting for us at the airport. After some talking and getting information at the tourist information we welcomed Daniele. Together we went to the Hostel to check in. We walkred a bit through the gardens of Valencia and rest a bit from the exhausting travel. Then Patri and Viktor arrived just in time for shopping for dinner and breakfast. Back from shopping, Javi and me went to the metro station to welcome Katja, Antje and José. We were a bit nervous to see them after so long time…

Es war dann natürlich ein fröhliches Wiedersehen! Nach dem Dinner sind dann auch Jordi & Jaana eingetroffen und Jordi hat sich der Partymeute angeschlossen. Wir sind ins Kneipenviertel “Carmen” gezogen wo diese Fotos entstanden sind:

Of course it was a happy greeting and hugging! After dinner jordi & Jaana arrived and Jordi came with us to do some party. we went to the district ‘Carmen’ which is famous for bars and we made these pictures there:

Ich Kuerze jetzt mal ein wenig ab. Am 2. Tag in Valencia sind wir durch die Altstadt mit Javi gelaufen und haben uns die meisten Sehenswuerdigkeiten angesehen. Tagsueber haben wir Paella als take-away gekauft und uns auf einen Plaza gesetzt. Zum Dinner sind wir dann mit Javi’s Bruder und einer Freundi zu einem Buffet mit mediteranem Essen gegangen. Nun waren wir gestärkt für den Abend. Wir haben noch Matteo und Daniele am Hostel abgeholt und dann ging es in eine Bar.

An Silvester gings dann mit der Strassenbahn zum Strand und and den Hafen… wir sind dann relativ frueh zum Hostel zurueck um uns auf den Abend der Abende vorzubereiten… doch dazu mehr beim nächsten Mal!

I describe it a bit shorter now. On the 2nd day in VLC we made a tour through the old town with Javi and we saw the most of the sights. For lunch we bought some take away Paella and ate it on a plaza. For Dinner we met with Javi’s brother for a all you can eat buffet. the food was good and we were ready for the party! After we picked up Matteo and Daniele from the hostel and we went to a bar.

On new years eve we went by tram to the beach and the harbour… we were quite early back at the hostel to rest and prepare for this special evening… about that more in the next post!

Diesen Film habe ich am letzten Tag bevor ich nach Valencia geflogen bin fertiggestellt. Ich bin nicht 100% zufrieden mit ihm aber hier ist er nun. Er besteht aus einem wilden Mix von Videos die ich im Laufe eines Jahres gemacht habe. Ich hoffe er gefällt euch. Meinungen, Kritik & Lob per Mail oder direkt in die Blogkommentare schreiben!
