St. Petersburg. Am Dienstagabend gings über Nacht mit dem Zug nach St. Petersburg. Die Fahrt dauerte ca. 8 Stunden und wurde netterweise nicht durch Grenzkontrollen unterbrochen. Allerdings war unserer Waggon nicht mit Schlafabteilen sondern eher wie ein Schlafsaal in einer Jugenherberge. Doch seht selbst:

Und so sah der Gang aus. Man muss noch dazu sagen das später wildfremde Leute dazugestiegen sind und dann teilweise sich ‘rechts’ schlafen gelegt haben.

Morgens in St. Petersburg angekommen, haben wir direkt eine Bustour nach Puschkin gemacht, das Bernsteinzimmer bestaunt samt Palast und wieder zurück nach dem Lunch. Nachmittags wurde dann nach dem “Frisch” machen erstmal nach Emails gecheckt und Postkarten geschrieben …

Arriving in the morning in St. Petersbug, we made directly a bus tour to Puschkin, to have a look at the amber room including a palace. After lunch we went back to St. Petersburg. In the afternoon, after we had shower we checked our e-mails and wrote some postcards …

Am selben Abend gings dann in Ballet. Kein Plan wie das Theater oder Aufführung hieß. Auf jeden Fall tolles Haus und nettes ‘gehopse’ Natürlich wurde auch ein wenig geposed …

On the same day we went to ballet. No idea what was the name of the theater or the program. Anyway it was a nice builsing and nice ‘dancing’ We had to do of course some posing pics …

Am selben Abend in St. Petersburg sind wir dann in eine Kneipe/Disco gegangen wo eine Rock’n’Roll Band spielte. Die Musik war Klasse und die Stimmung auch.

On the same evening we went to a discotheque/bar where a rock’n’roll band played. The music was really good as also the spirit.

Allerdings gibt es nach diesem Abend keine weiteren Foto’s von mir. Leider ist meine Kamera in dem Klub kaputtgegangen. Ziemlich blöde Geschichte.
Am nächsten Tag gab es weiteres Sight-Seeing per Bus und einen Besuch im Hermitage. Eines der größten Museen weltweit. Und es ist wirklich groß. Wir hatten keine Karte und haben ziemlich lange nach einem Treppenhaus gesucht.
Am 2. Abend sind wir dann in eine ziemlich coole Diskothek und haben ordendlich Party gemacht. (Jetzt weiß ich wie man Absinth richtig trinkt, hehe)

I have to say that after that i have no more pictures. Unfortunately my camera was damaged in that club. Quite stupid story.
On the next day we made some more sight seeing by bus and the visit in Hermitage. One of the most biggest museum in the world. Without a map you search some time only for a staircase.
On the 2nd evening in St. Petersburg we went to a cool disco and had a good party. (Now i know how to drink Absinth in the right way, hehe)

Haben noch mehr gemacht dort aber ohne Bilder wirds bissel laaaangweilig, oder?

Nachdem prüfendem Blick auf den Metroplan und der Durchsage unseres Guides wieviele Stationen wir fahren (three stops!), gings dann ab in die ‘schönste Metro der Welt’. Ich muss sagen einige Stationen sehen wirklich toll aus:

Wir hatten auch Freizeit in Moskau sodass wir auf eigene Faust unterwegs waren. Dieses Foto ist auf dem Weg zum Gorki Park entstanden. Wie man unschwer erkennen kann, hatten wir hervorragendes Wetter:

We had also some free time in Moscow so we could go whereever we wanted. This photo was made on the way to “Gorki Parc”. As you can see, we had great wheater:

Andererseits haben wir viel Zeit darauf verwendet mit Souvenirhändlern zu feilschen … Die konnte man zu Hauf in der Arbat Straße finden… Natürlich konnte man auch eine Menge Schund kaufen (Elai (aus den USA) hat tatsächlich Football-Matroschkas seiner Heimatmanschaft gefunden):

Nachdem wir im Gorki-Park waren (nette Statuen, ansonsten bestimmt schöner im Sommer), sind wir durch einen Gemäldeflohmarkt gegangen. Von superhäßlich zu ok bis “würd ich mir ins Wohnzimmer hängen” alles dabei! Die riesige Statue links im Hintergrund ehrt Zar Alexander den II. dar und ist potthäßlich.

After we went to “Gorki-Parc” (nice statues, otherwise maybe nice in summer) we walked through a fleamarket for paintings. There was everything from superugly, ok to “i would put in in my living room”! The giant statue on the left in the background honour Zar Alexander the II and is really ugly.

An unserem letzten Abend in Moskau sind wir zum roten Platz und haben die Gebäude bestaunt. Sehr nett auch bei Nacht. (Nehmt euch allerdings vor den Polizisten in acht.) Auf dem nächsten Bild ist das Mausoleum von Lenin zu sehen. Haben wir auch besucht. Einziarte Geschichte. Erzähle ich euch mal wenn wir uns sehen!

On our last evening in Moscow we went to the Red Square and gaze the buildings there. Very nice also by night. (Be aware of the police.) On the next picture you can see the mausoleum of Lenin. We visited that place. Unique story. I tell you when we met sometime!

ja ihr habt ein wenig warten müssen … bin etwas im Thesis Stress. Nu war Ostern und ich hatte ein wenig Zeit. Ich versuche alles was wir (ich) erlebt haben in sieben Tagen Russland aufzuschreiben.
Am Samstagnachmittag gings los! Es wurden kleinere Gruppen mit ‘Teamleadern’ gebildet, welche dann erstmal Grundausrüstung bekommen haben (Toilettenpapier, Frühstück) ....

yes you had to wait a bit … i’m a bit in thesis stress. Now was easter and i took some time. I tried to write all stuff down we (I) experienced in russia.
On saturday afternoon we started! We set up small group with ‘team leader’, which got some kind of basic russia kit (toilet paper, breakfast) ...

Dann gings auf eine 14 Stunden Reise mit dem Zug nach Moskau! Wir hatten vierer Abteile und eine nette relativ ruhige Zugparty. Das Foto von Rudolph und José entstand während der Grenzkontrolle die ziemlich ernst vor sich ging.

Then we were on a 14 hour trip with the train to Moskau! We had cabins for four people and a relative quite train party. The pic of Rudolh and José was made during the border control (a quite serious procedure)

Direkt am Sonntag in Russland angekommen, gab es eine Sight-Seeing Tour durch Moskau mit (natürlich) Stop am Roten Platz.
Leider war es ziemlich nebelig sodass es teilweise schwierig war die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu sehen.

After arriving in Russia we made directly a sight-seeing tour throuh Moscow with (of course) a stop at the Red Square. Unfortunately was it quite foggy, so we had difficulties to see actually the sights.

Auch direkt am Sonntag sind wir mit das erste Mal mit der Metro gefahren. Hier sind wir auf dem Weg zum Zirkus. Der Zirkus war Spitze. Gute Tierdressuren & noch bessere Artistik-Nummern. Besonders gut hat mit eine “In-Laken-Einwickeln” und die “Leute-in-die-Luft-mit-Wippe” Nummer gefallen.

Also on sunday we ride the first time with the metro. On the next picture we are on the way to the circus. The circus was fabulous. Good animal dressages & even better artistic shows. The highlights were a “enwrap-in-sheets” and the “people-in-air-through-rocker” show.

zur Zeit höre ich Star Wars & Herr der Ringe Filmmusik. Klassik eignet sich ganz gut zum Arbeiten habe ich festgestellt.

oder: Alltag inner WG. Habe mir gestern einen Beutel Karotten gekauft und in den Schrank gelegt. Heute gedacht ‘mmmh is wohl besser im Kühlschrank aufgehoben’. Wollte grad eine essen. Verdammt. Im Beutel Flüssigkeit egeliger Konsistenz. Hat gestunken wie sau. Gleich weggeschmissen und alles saubergemacht. War wohl zu lange im (relativ warmen) Schrank?!

darum wird jetzt Dinner zubereitet. Eine Frage an Hausfrauen: Bananen in den Kühlschrank? gut / nicht gut / egal ?

or: Everyday life in a shared flat. Just bought yesterday a bag of carrots. I put it in my cupboard and thought today ‘maybe is better to put it in the fridge…’. Just had the idea to eat one of them. Damn! I found some slimy liquid inside. Smelled really awful. Instantly throwed the bag into garbage and cleaned directly everything up. I assume it was too long in the (quite warm) cupboard?!

because of that i prepare my dinner now. by the way a question to all housewifes: bananes into the fridge? good / not good / whatever ?
